I tried the La Briute turkey meal early in the blog’s history, and thought it was absolutely vile. However, I understand how useful these self-heating MREs can be to travelers, so this coupon should help.

I highly recommend My Own Meals. Like Labriute meals, they require no refrigeration, but they’re also fairly edible. They don’t include a heat pack or soup, though. And they can be had cheaper than the Labriute meals.
They certainly fill a need. Last summer I took the extended family (10 adults + 13 kids) on a road-trip across and around Pennsylvania. We purchased cases of La Briut meals at AAOOB Foods for dinners. Of course, now I can’t bear to look at them…
I emailed them once in hopes that they’d send me some free meals to taste … to review over on HeatEatReview.com and they didn’t bite. I can’t bring myself to pay so much for them :( Even with a coupon …
Are they still in business? The telephone number on their website isn’t their number anymore. Their website hasn’t been updated in two years and I can’t even find their products in the groceries anymore. I wanted to ask them who even carries their products (local store) but there isn’t any way to reach them, if they still exist.
