Like I said, we may not have agreed to pay that prior to the evening, but we look back on the meal fondly and don’t regret the price. First off, if you’d ordered all the food they gave us off a regular menu, you’d be hard pressed to spend less anyway. Second, there was no turn over that night - each table had one group of customers for the whole night. So the restaurant probably had to make up for that somehow.

It was New Year’s, and we were on a romantic vacation. Not something I’d do every day, but definitely worth it for the experience. I’m sure the price is more reasonable if you don’t go on a special night with a prix fixe menu.
