Thanks for posting this information. For people who I know who have to travel a minimum of 3 hours in each direction to buy meat, this site will be an incredible find. The cost of gas these days far surpasses the cost of $30.00 per box for shipping. People within the New York market may find cheaper prices and be willing to shlep home the food. People far from NY who have been subject to a seller's market for years will greatly benefit from this service. Quality meats and notably clean chickens are an added plus.

Once again, thanks for this, and Happy Shopping to All.

Firstly thank you to the writer of this blog for helping us to spread the word about our website. I am the Operations manager for Glatt On Demand, and would like to add just a bit of information about our service.

We started shipping Kosher meats as a way to help some of our friends who lived in areas where the nearest supply was quite a journey.

Our goal is to help those who are either in areas without Kosher meat, where the choices are limited, and where the prices are outrageous. The service is designed to allow people to maximize the value of the shipping charges by completely stocking their freezers, then restocking an entire freezer as needed. As a result of the packaging, dry ice, and shipping costs we are actually losing money on all of the shipping charges. Our packaging materials and dry ice alone costs us ~$15 per order. We are currently able to ship packages frozen for up to 4 days, this enables us to ship UPS Ground to most of the country. In the very near future we will have a solution that will enable us to ship to the entire country. If you look at the other sites shipping kosher meat and poultry their prices are significantly higher and their delivery cost is as well.

We are here to try and help anyone who needs kosher Meat and Poultry and does not have convenient availability to them. Our "company" has no marketing budget as we are trying to deliver quality products at the best possible prices. We are here to provide a service to those who need it and are not looking to compete in markets with existing supply of kosher meats and poultry. That being said we will gladly fill orders from anywhere and think that even those of you living in markets such as New York will be extremely happy with the quality of our product.

I would also like to address the issue about the quality of the steak pictures. As I explained earlier we are trying to deliver the best product at the lowest possible price. We do not have professional photos, or doctored images. Each and every picture on the site was taken with a digital camera in my home. Every cooked piece of meat and chicken you see on the site was prepared and consumed in my home by friends and family. All 37 people who attended the event left here full and satisfied! I can say once you try our products you will surely re-order, as our quality is excellent.

If anyone has any questions please E-mail us at support@GlattOnDemand.com.

Any assistance that anyone can offer to help us get the word out is greatly appreciated; we would very much like to help anyone who is in need of our assistance.

Hey -

I live in NY (where kosher meat is readily available) and was THRILLED with the quality, and flavor of the meat.

Worth buying lots of meat, you'll certainly go through it.

I ordered the 1/2 inch chuck steak, and was so impressed with the size. Also ordered the chicken legs, which was a nice change from the quality I am used to around here. Very few (can't remember seeing any!) feathers and little fat.

I am always so annoyed when I buy chicken legs (of chicken in general) and I have to cut off at least a pound of extra fat and/or skin.

Packaging was really great - especially meats which making it a breeze to stack in the freezer.

Glad to see someone blogging about it!
