Online Kosher Directory
Just a quick announcement about a new site I’ve added to the “Kosher Blog Network”: The Online Kosher Directory hosted at ShopKosher.net. It’s my first stab at a categorized, searchable directory of online retailers which carry kosher products. Each site in the directory can be commented upon by visitors, to share shopping experiences or ask questions.
As an added bonus, I’ve included a “Books” section, with several kosher titles, as well as some other all-purpose culinary tomes that I’d recommend.
There’s a submission form on the homepage to suggest new retail sites to add — please use it!

Are you going to be cataloguing the actual products, or just sites that have products?

Looks great! Seems like it has the potential to be helpful – I played with it, but its not 100% clear exactly what the site’s best functions are – could you maybe post 3-4 examples of what I would be looking for and how the site can help me find it.
Brett– Right now, just sites that have products (specifically, ones that sell them online). I can expand the site descriptions with details about particular products if there’s anything that stands out. The comments section is also a good place to post impressions of a site’s products.
Danny– The site is simply meant to help someone find online retailers that carry the kind of product one’s looking for. For example, Shavuot is coming up, and maybe you want to send a distinctive gift to your in-laws… check the “Gifts” category for retailers that ship gift baskets and the like. Also in the Shavuot vein, you might be interested in ordering some fine European cheeses for your holiday table — check the “Cheese” category. Once you’ve dealt with a retailer, come back to the site and post a comment about your experiences — let other people know how the service was, how the products were, etc.
