Balsamic Windfall
From the Condiments & Dressings Department: KBlog reader Joshua and some friends recently bought a case of Manicardi kosher balasmic vinegar (sold online), and were gracious enough to dispatch a bottle of it my way. Manicardi actually has a decent product. The bottle is substantial and pleasant-looking, which is a big deal if you keep your oft-used cooking bottles out on the counter. Naturally, flavor is what it really comes down to, and this vinegar certainly stands above the Bartenura, Manischewitz, and Kedem balsamics. It’s not stellar by universal standards (ranking relatively low on the industry’s quality scale), but its plesant tang, slight sweetness, and absence of harsh aftertaste makes it the best kosher balsamic I’ve tried.
I chanced upon another kosher balsamic product at Cirelli Foods — Cindy’s Kitchen Balsamic Vinaigrette. It’s a great, all-purpose dressing (OU-certified) and even better, it’s locally produced by Custom Blends, Inc. of Brockton, MA.

Emeril has a very good kosher pareve caesar dressing. However it does have real anchovies in it which some people don’t eat with meat.
Help! I’ve been trying to find a pareve caesar dressing I had a few months back, with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated… It was kosher (of course, I can’t remember the brand, the hasgacha, anything, though I’d recognize the bottle if I saw it). Tasted like it really had cheese in it, but it was pareve.
Anybody got any ideas? I can only find one parve caesar now when I look, and it’s a pretty raunchy soy-based one.
I make a kosher parve caesar salad dressing bottled under the name Esther’s Best and is certified under the Kehilah Kashrus. It has no anchovies or cheese in it and is delicious. It can be bought in Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn and New Jersey 718 753 4768
where can i buy this caesar dressing (parve)
I do not think it is available on-line since it needs to be refrigerated.
“I do not think it is available on-line since it needs to be refrigerated.”
This is nonsense.
Deis-Cane:
I do not appreciate being told my comments are nonsense. It is not available anywhere on-line. Probably because it is expensive to ship due to the fact it has to be refrigreated (needs to be shipped overnight and with dry ice). Based on my knowledge as a retailer, all products that need to be shipped this way cost upwards of $13 for shipping (see igourmet, blackwing bison etc.) Also this is a product that is not mass produced but made in a local restaurant in Bklyn.
Literally thousands of products are available online that need to be refrigerated. That’s what I was referring to. I know nothing of this specific product, just that it’s highly unlikely that refrigeration is the issue at hand.
Instead of everyone commenting and guessing as to why it is not available online, why doesn’t someone find a way to address the question to the original poster who said “I make a kosher parve caesar salad dressing bottled…”. I think it likely that she would know the answer. All else is speculation and needless argument.
