KBlog reader Rajiv writes in with this bubbly blurb:
The Star Market on Comm Ave. (and perhaps others) has a sale on all flavours of Kedem sparkling grape juice. One bottle is $1.99 which is $2.50 off their regular price. And if you ever remember to send in the Kedem rebate, the price of each bottle drops to just $0.99!

aren’t some of those kedem grape juices made out of juice concentrate?isn’t that a problem for saying kiddush? (at least when chamar medina isn’t good enough)
it is nearly 3months since i submitted labels from kedem sparkling juices . $6 00 rebate was to come to my address. well today i got a royal grapevine newsletter . no rebate .i guess yu know my address but you dont know how to rebate. how about that? annette alter , 62900 kings gate circle , delray beach, florida, 33484 tel.no. 561 638 2846. ps my brother in law got rebate months ago/////////
You got the ‘Royal Grapevine’ newsletter? I enjoy reading about their kosher wines, but the newsletter usually comes a mere couple of days before Pesach or even after-which helps for the rest of the year, but I’ve usually already made my Pesach selections long ago. I’m still waiting on the newsletter this go-round. I even looked on their web site (http://www.royalwine.com) and they still have the previous one from Rosh Hashanah there. I guess they figure they have a lock on the kosher wine industry here-except that there are other companies.
Well-the ‘Royal Grapevine’ newsletter arrived today-before Pesach, but after I’ve already picked out wines for the sedarim.
Inquiring about a $6.00 rebate that is due.
Thank you

I have twice submitted rebates for the Kedem sparkling grapejuice. I have never received the rebate money, and it has probably been over a year since the last time. I have saved up a whole collection of receipts, rebate slips, and UPC codes, so I will soon try again. But this time, I will make copies of everything and send in the rebates by certified mail, return-receipt requested. Maybe that will get their attention…
I have also submitted a rebate for Kedem sparkling juice rebates, which is past due. It is very telling, now that I look at the copy of the form, which I saved, that there is no phone number or website listed to check up on this rebate.
To me some thing’s not kosher here!
Update. I sent out 6 (the maximum) rebate slips for $1.50 each on April 17, certified mail, return-receipt requested (I wasn’t taking any chances, but it cost me $4.64!). The return-receipt came back a week or two later, showing that it was received on April 23. It has now been over 18 weeks, and I haven’t gotten anything from Kedem (although the form said to allow 10-12 weeks for delivery). So, I went to Kedem’s website, and found a number to call. They told me to call another number, where I finally reached someone who knew something. She took my name and address and asked me how much the rebate was for. She then claimed that my rebate had just been processed last week and that I should be receiving it in a week or two. Lets see if that happens…
In any event, if you want to try calling them, call 1-800-422-4842. They will answer the phone “Universal” or something like that, but apparently they do process Kedem’s rebates…
I sent in my Kedem Sparling Juices Mail-In Rebate for 6 bottles in November 2007 and STILL have not received the rebates! I will call the number that Ari suggested WAY BACK in August 2007.
BTW, I did eventually receive the rebate. But, my belief is that they generally ignore the rebate slips until you complain. So, complain! They really deserve to be sued…
I emailed customerservice@kedem.com and they told me to call (800) 422-4842. When I called, they had all the information from my 11/2007 rebate submittal. They gave no explanation for NOT processing the rebates, but said they WOULD mail the rebate out this week. I guess the squeeky wheel gets the grease.
My rebate submitted in November 2011 is due. Haven’t received anything. I’m not surprised. Seems to me Kedem is involved in consumer fraud.
A correction. I submitted my rebate request on October 18, 2011. I just received a check postmarked January 18, 2012.
