Kosher Blog

P.S.A.

Just popping in to see if I cast a shadow, and to let you know that the Orthodox Union is launching a new consumer website. Make sure to check out their “Seven Steps to Certification.”

Think we can get a heksher on Jabbett’s kitchen? Here’s hoping!

Wow, quite a site. Their marketing folks may be a little over the top with phrases like "Prestigious OU Certification," but the FAQ section has some interesting, topical stuff (leg of lamb, wax paper, Stella D’Oro). Thanks for sharing, and welcome back.

Oh, and at least part of my kitchen is already under the Va’ad’s supervision :) http://www.abbett.org/kitch...

Microwaves are the easiest thing in the world to kasher. Bah.

So far, I don’t like the site, at least not the FAQ. There are some interesting tidbits in there, but I find the tone generally condescending.

…not to mention the numerous spelling and grammatical errors.

Oh, you mean like the "erudite displays" of which they speak under cleaning broccoli?

On behalf of my father I’d like to kindly remind everyone that the Abbett kitchen is already under the strict kashrut supervision of Harvey Shore. ;)

I thought that was only the Ziv. My most sincere apologies for any unintended offense.
